A new political party with the name ‘Telangana Prajarajyam Party’ to fight for the creation of Telangana state was born today in Hyderabad.
Veteran freedom fighter Konda Lakshman Bapuji launched this party founded by Supreme Court lawyer Venugopal. Speaking on the occasion, Bapuji said there is not even a single party in Telangana working genuinely for the sake of Telangana state.
“All parties are working for their selfishness,” he said in his inaugural address of the new party.
The freedom fighter, who recently resorted to a one-week fast in Delhi for the sake of Telangana, said this is high time all public representatives keep off their political parties and launch the struggle in unison for attaining statehood for the region.
TDP Telangana Forum leaders Mr Motkupalli Narasimhulu and Errabilli Dayakara Rao also attended the new party launching ceremony. Reports said that several former Prajarajyam Party leaders are said to be joining the new party.
