In the wake of the mass general strike of the Telangana employees and pro-Telangana outfits gaining momentum, AICC secretary Mr Deepak Babaria arrived in Hyderabad Monday evening to have an on the spot assessment of the situation with regard to Telangana agitation.

Reports said Babaria came to Hyderabad at the instance of party general secretary Rahul Gandhi to study the impact of the mass general strike.

Mr Babaria met the chief minister Kirankumar reddy and the T congress leader Mr K. Keshava rao separately and discussed the Telangana issue. Congress sources said that the visiting party dignitary sought information on Telangana from both CM and Keshava rao.

It is said that the visiting leader has also made use of his visit to Hyderabad by discussing the activities of the youth congress with the PCC chief and other youth wing leaders.

Babaria will submit a report to Rahul Gandhi soon after reaching Delhi tomorrow, according to sources.
