Sushma asks Centre to introduce T bill

swarajBJP leader Ms. Sushma Swaraj today promised to support the Bill on formation of Telangana state if it was introduced in the Parliament by the Government.

Speaking on the Telangana issue during a calling attention motion in the Lok Sabha, the opposition leader said that thousands of people are committing suicide seeking Telangana and 13 MPs have resigned demanding the separate state.

“Your party forged an electoral alliance with the TRS in 2004 elections and you had announced you were committed to the formation of Telangana. What happened to your promise of taking an appropriate decision on T state at the right time? Didn’t you get the right time not even once between 2004 and 2009?” she asked the congress leadership and the government.

Sushma Swaraj also attacked the Sri Krishna Committee saying that for the first time in the country it has given two reports on an issue. “It is not a Sri Krishna Committee report. I must say it is only an AICC report,” she said.

Concluding her speech, Sushma appealed to the Telangana students and youth not to commit suicides. “You must live to see the formation of Telangana state,” she appealed.
