The JAC of the OU students today postponed the proposed Telangana Bandh to August 8. Earlier, the JAC said there would be a Telangana bandh on August 5. The JAC gave the bandh call demanding the removal of 14 F from the zonal system with regard to the recruitment of SIs.
The JAC leaders said they would hold a round table conference on August 5 on the removal of 14 F clause and submit a memorandum to the chief minister Kirankumar reddy demanding the withdrawal of the clause.
“If there is no response from the government, we will organize the bandh on August 8,” said the JAC leaders.
Meanwhile, Minister Anam Ramnarayana reddy said that the cabinet sub-committee would hold discussions with the representatives of the Telangana Employees’ Associations on August 5 on their strike notice.
“The government is ready to accept their demands which are with in the state government’s jurisdiction but Telangana formation is not in our hands,” he told journalists.
