Lambasting the TRS chief Mr KCR for his remarks that the Seema Andhra leaders will get caught in the 2014 elections, the OU JAC leaders wrote an open letter advising him not to make statements that would weaken the T agitation.
“You are aiming at elections while we are seeking Telangana state,” they told him in the letter alleging all his statements seemed be weakening the movement.
It might be mentioned that KCR, while speaking at a TRS programme on Sunday, reportedly said, “Telangana will not go anywhere. It will surely come in 2014. We will catch the Seema Andhra leaders in 2014 elections?”
Taking umbrage to these remarks, the JAC leaders asked him to stop linking the people’s movement with the 2014 elections. “You said on July 13 that Telangana would come in two weeks’ time. Where is it?” they asked.
The student leaders also reminded him of his statement in the past that he would take poison and die if Telangana was not granted and asked him not to repeat such statements. “Leaders like you should be careful while speaking in public and giving statements,” they asked him.
