Only Two congress MPs of the Telangana region, Mr Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy of Bhuvanagiri and Mr Vivek of Peddapally, are asked to meet the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh today.
Contrary to earlier reports that all congress MPs of the Telangana region will meet the Prime Minister this evening, these two MPs only received the appointment confirmation from the PMO. “But other congress MPs of the Telangana area have also left for Delhi along with them by the morning flight with the fond hope that the PM will also allow them to meet him,” said the party sources close to the MPs.
Along with the MPs, some of the T region ministers are also supposed to leave for Delhi today but none of the Ministers have got confirmation of the appointment from the PMO. As a result, most of the ministers who booked flight have cancelled their tickets in disappointment.
The two MPs will meet the PM and seek formation of the Telangana state as soon as possible.
