Congress MLAs and MLCs of the Telangana region today expressed confidence that they are going ahead in the process of achieving the separate state of Telangana. Speaking at a media conference after a one hour meeting with the congress core committee member and Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee in Delhi, the MLAs and MLCs said they have been working towards achieving Telangana and no one should doubt their sincerity.

“No one should doubt our credentials and our efforts to achieve Telangana. We are working as per the aspirations of our people and going ahead with full confidence,” said Mr Ponguleti Sudhakar reddy, MLC.

The MLAs and MLCs, numbering around 30, have decided to stay put in Delhi till they get some clear cut signals from the Central government on the formation of the separate state. They have already met union minister Veerappa Moily, in charge of the AP congress affairs and also Ahmad Patel, political secretary to the congress president.
“Our efforts to meet the party president Sonia are still going on,” Sudhakar reddy said and added they are hopeful of an audience with her soon.
