TDP senior leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy is reportedly unhappy with the party supermo’s fiat on his plans to evolve strategy on raking up the Telangana issue in the Assembly. He made his displeasure to the TDP chief saying that Babu was taking side with the MLAs belonging to the Rayalaseema region. It is learnt that he is equally distraught at the Party’s decision to constitute a 8-member coordination committee involving the party leaders from the regions of Rayalaseema and Telangana.
He was said to have wondered at the necessity of the committee at the party meeting held yesterday. The TDP leader from Mahaboobnagar District was learnt to have told the party chief in clear terms that he would not be compromising on the issue of separatehood for Telangana.
Further, he mustered courage to say with the TDP Chief N.Chandrababu Naidu that he would like to be guided by the vote of conscience rather than bowing to the directives of the Party. The firebrand from Telangana cautioned that the TDP leadership's reluctance to talk about Telangan on the floor of the house would spell doom for the party at a time when there is a fierce struggle going on for the separate state of Telangana.
