Heredity politics devastates development!: Whatever the nation is the outcome of heredity politics ruling the roost since Independence. Initially we had Nehruji, then Indiraji followed by Rajeevji who directly ruled the nation. Later we also witnessed the indirect rule of Soniaji and now Rahul Gandhi is in the making and waiting in the reserve. Not only in the centre, we have had sons taking over from the fathers. Be it Kashmir, Orissa, UP or in MP, the situation seems to remain the same. Does that mean we have not developed...an utter false statement. In spite of sharp hurdles we have evolved and created a niche, globally.

However the statement by Loksatta Chairman Dr Jayaprakash Narayan holds no water, that heredity politics deter democracy. Probably he wanted to take a dig at the recent happenings in the state like late chief minister YSR's son Jagan staking his claims and TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu's son Lokesh getting groomed up.

Nevertheless, the Loksatta supremo is known for his logical decisions and super intelligence, cannot be claimed wrong. In fact proving his statement he has also said that he would not compete in the next change in guard elections within the party. Noting all these things only makes the common man assume that where we are is nothing compared to where we should be, courtesy to heredity politics. Got to think over........

Komatireddy vs Uttamkumar Reddy: The two Congress leaders from Nalgonda seems to be firing with full force against each other. Dissidence in the ruling party is a regular phenomenon but the recent one between the former minister Komatireddy Venkata Reddy and housing minister Uttamkumar Reddy is going beyond anyone's imagination. There seems to be a cold war at the fall of a hat and reasonless. The controversy brewed up after the later invited union minister Chiranjeevi to address a rally in the district, while the former objected to this.

Immediately Uttamkumar seems to have voiced his criticism over the other, by claiming that he needs no advice from leaders who are ever ready to shift loyalties to TRS or YSRCP. Countering this the former minister took a dig by saying that Uttamkumar gained ministry after he quit the assembly after protesting for T. Simply meaning that he was living out of his mercy and has no right to talk in ruckus.

Already the Telangana dominant party, in addition to the latest born one are trying to devour the Congress leaders in to their parties. And if such groupism emerged on the bigger canvass, Congress survival in 2014 looks bleak, feel critics.

Mopidevi will be back Chanchalguda today: Former Minister Mopidevi Venkataramana will be back at the Chanchalguda prison as his bail expires on January 02. The minister was given bail from Dec 24 to Jan 02 for going on a pilgrimage to Sabarimala.

However after returning to Hyderabad, Mopidevi had a beeline of dignitaries visiting him and the prominent among them were none other than the PCC Chief Botsa Satyanarayana who visited twice and the other was finance minister Annam Ramanarayana Reddy. Onlookers were amazed that the former minister taken into custody in Jagan's case was visited by leaders who day in and day out slammed the Kadapa MP.
