Media, politics changing gears!: Media and politics, the estates of the democracy seem to be over pally to weaken the very foundation of the setup. Most political parties have their own media and channels. Though the phenomenon is not new to the Indian political setup, however the issue is dealt behind the screen now than boldly in the past. In the sense, earlier parties used to call their own media as mouth pieces, which used to be widely read by the party activists and had content of what the party felt, making them proprietary.  

With changing scenario, political parties are funding the media channels in different ways. On one side they give in huge scale, high budget advertisements every fiscal year to the media that is in their favor. On the other side, they directly pump in money into a particular channel and speculate  over the issue. One good example is our own state head who is rumored to be holding huge stakes in two TV channels, but outwardly the party denies the issue.  

A recent report in media took everybody by surprise. The report cited from an unknown source reveals that a specific media channel which was lambasting one party received a fat 40 crores media contract...will the channel have the sincerity in reporting about the political head, in future. Probably when the contract is over and fresh one is not renewed. Pathetic and condemnable if true. But till then just relax, it is an elite affair....

TRS vs BJP for educated constituency: The Telangana Political Joint Action Committee is a conglomeration of constituents from all parties fighting against for a common cause. However there seems to be less harmony between the constituents. The other day the T JAC supremo lashed out at the T leaders in Delhi for maintaining silence when the Congress was dillydallying over the T issue. This was almost speculated as a direct attack on the TRS bigwigs who were a part of the Congress led UPA.

Another issue that points towards a possible split between the T JAC is the filing of nominations for the Karimnagar graduate constituency, MLC elections. While TRS fields the former Telangana NGO supremo Swamy Goud, BJP fields Maddasani Narasimha Reddy. This two party tussle only goes on to prove of a possible rift within, claim inner circles.

On the other hand, Telangana Jagruthi supremo Kavitha slammed the BJP for going against the common ideology forum. However critics felt that common forum meant that all parties need be consulted and a decision must not be made in a autocratic style. Earlier the TRS never spoke about nominating Goud but all of a sudden announced his name, unanimously. This attitude of the parties only dilutes the agitations while giving room to unwanted speculations, claim critics.

TDP supremo in embarrassed situation: As the massive walkathon by the TDP Supremo N Chandrababu Naidu traverses for the eight consecutive day in Guntur district, the leader is received at all places by jubilant crowds. 'Vastunna Mee Kosam' has proved a vital boon for the TDP leader but the Telangana issue at times is embarrassing the leader at odd moments. One such incident emerged on Wednesday while he was interacting with the public in the presence of the media.

The TDP Chief was surrounded by massive crowds, as usual in his padayatra. He was interacting with almost everyone and addressing the issues that have made their lives remorse. Just then an enthusiastic farmer came and spoke about the unified state means prosperity putting the leader in a delicate spot. He went on to urging the supremo to repeat the Jai Samaikya Andhra slogan (unified Andhra). The leader fondly pushed aside his request and took over the speech.

As  a patch up to the incident the leader went on to say that he is bound by the party's stand which they made it very clear earlier. He also assured that he stands by his commitment over the decision. However he neither mentioned whether he supports or opposes about the unified demands. Clever leader, appreciated critics.
