The first service of metro rail would be between Nagole and Mettuguda. This route will be a part of third line service, which will be between Raidurg and Nagole. The distance between Nagole and Mettuguda would be roughly around eight kilometres. And in buses, it usually takes around less than 20  minutes to commute from Nagole to the said destination in normal hours while in peak hours it might take up to an hour.

Nagole-Mettugua service would be open in another two years from now. Yes, the schedule time to start this service is December. However, it might be extended depending on the situation and the safety check ups. So, the news might be a little disappointing to those who were eagerly waiting for the first service of metro rail. Also, if the first service's final destination is Mettuguda, it might not serve purpose to the people-who most of them travel to Hitec City or Secunderabad from Nagole. To those who travel to Hitec City, Patny stop had been ideal one from where they were getting private cabs or buses to their destination. And those who want to go to Secunderabad station might still find it tough to again catch an auto rickshaw or bus from Mettuguda.

One has to wait and see whether RTC will operate special buses from Mettuguda to Hitech City after the metro service starts. If yes, then metro rail's first service would receive a thumbs up.
