Modi Takes a U Turn?

Narendra Modi talked in praise of Sadhu Shoban Sarkar on whose behest the Archeological Survey of India took up the task of digging at the fort of Raja Ram Bux Singh in Unnao in Uttar Pradesh.  As the seer has seen a treasure buried under the fort which as per his vision will not be less than 1000 tons of gold, The ASI has started digging for the treasure supposed to be there.

At the time of starting of the excavation work by ASI after camping for three days, Gujaraj Chief Minister and Prime Ministerial Candidate of BJP Narendra Modi was at Chennai where he spoke in the public meeting that the whole world is laughing at us for the bizarre act of the Central Government’s department to take up the task of excavation just on the basis of a dream of some one.  He also said that if the Government seriously acts on bringing back the money kept by the thieves and looters of India in the foreign banks, the exercise of the excavation can be saved.

Modi tweets later that people have faith in Sant Shoban Sarkar and he also pays respects to the Sanyasi.  Followed by it he tweets again about the Sarkar (Government’s) responsibility to bring back the stinking black money in foreign banks on which the Government should release a white paper.

Some media and political persons commented that Modi has taken a U turn and changed his stand on the issue of Gold hunt.  Previously he only commented on the action of ASI based on the assumption but he did not comment on the Sadhu.  If the treasure is really hidden under the soil, it is only in the land.  But the black money of the Indian ‘thieves’ is in the banks in foreign lands!  At both the times Modi compared the active participation of the Government in the excavation on an assumption leaving the confirmed monies of Indians in foreign banks.

The Supreme Court of India disposed the petition on the excavations that they should be done under Supreme Court's monitoring.  The Supreme Court expressed its inability to interfere in the activities of the Archeological Survey of India.
