H-1B visas application which will be accepted from Monday for the fiscal year that starts from 1^st October, 2013 are expected by Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to reach the requirement within a week. To select the required number of applications, i.e., 65000 for the fiscal year, the authorities this year may opt for a lottery. Those who studied and obtained higher degrees or Master’s degree from US Academic Institutions will be additional 20000 to the limit of 65000.

After 2008, it will be a repetition if the lottery process in which computer will randomly select applications up to the sanctioned limit. The required number of applications were received on the first day itself in 2008.
