In their latest warning Pakistan Taliban addressed the shopkeepers to stay away from the sale of Obscene, vulgar movies and male potency enhancing pills like viagra.
Talking to the media on Monday they said that handwritten threat notes were found at their stores from Saturday onwards in Karkhano market, Peshawar. The note said that selling sex drugs, vulgar movies are against the Sharia. The warning said that those involved in the business are warned to move to a lawful business or that there would be consequences.
The pamphlets were distributed under the nameTehreek-e-Taliban Khyber. Fearing the Taliban attacks the shopkeepers spoke under conditions of anonymity.
Karkhano market is notorious for the openly selling obscene movies and male potency tablets. The Taliban in the past have attacked and even bombed several such markets. The last such incident was on Friday when a bomb killed 10 and 26 were wounded near a DVD shop near Kalaya.
