To those who await the snow to touch ground in Jammu and Kashmir, Friday became a day of joy as skies opened up to shower snow today at Pir Panjar mountain range in Srinagar. It's a known thing that people here enjoy to witness show showering. But then there's also a flip side of this snow fall. The main highway that leads to Jammu from Srinagar will be blocked. It was actually in the wee hours that snow shower took place and layers of snow accumulated on the highway that eventually shut the main highway.

The accumulated snow started to melt this noon as the beams of sun light touched the white layers. However, this main road was kept closed on Friday afternoon only to ensure that none gets trapped in the snow.  The meteorological department officials informed the media that the temperature would continue to be the same for another four days. Therefore, snow showers are expected to cover cover roof tops like sheaths although they might melt at the sight of the sun the next day.

This is the first snow fall of the season in India. The highway is kept closed but we don't know if it's open for film shootings as romance always be termed as best it happens in snowfall. Will our Bollywood guys make use of the natural scenery?
