Miraculous surgery restores man's hand

A father of two children, the only breadwinner in the family, has all his hopes on future lost after his hand was sliced in half in an horrific accident. While cleaning a machine at the work place, the machine turned itself on and before he could notice his hand was struck in it.
'The machine started, I don't know how, and my hand was caught. I instantly felt pain', he said.

The victim, Atushkumar Patel, was admitted at the Broomfiled Hospital in Essex where his hand was sewn together including the tendons, bones, nerves and bloodvessels after a six hour fastidious surgery at the hospital.

The four fingers he lost with the mishap have rejoined the original hands and in just 5 weeks the father is now able to feel senses in the hands. It has been restored to the functional state able to move the fingers.

Mak Tare, the consultant plastic surgeon at the said that he was never on such a case but he was glad his training has helped him deal with the high-pressured situation.

After 20 days, another six hour operation was performed on the 37 year old's hand to join the blood vessels from the thighs onto the hands followed by grafting the skin.

Mr Tare said that he was delighted with how things went well after the procedures while congratulating the team for their assistance.
He is now undergoing physiotherapy session to get back to normal. Now, it won't be very surprising to know that he might be back on the man-force very soon.
