No US visa for Narendra Modi

Even after almost a decade has gone by, the ghost of Gujarat riots still continues to haunt Chief Minister Narendra Modi. In a fresh development, United States state department said that there is "no change" in it's policy for not granting visa to Mr. Modi.

Last week, a group of 25 US Congressmen wrote a letter to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton urging, US should continue denying visas to Modi as his government has not delivered justice to the victim of 2002 riots.

"I can confirm that we've received this letter, and I can also confirm there's no change in US policy," State Department spokesman Mark Toner said  while answering to the questioned asked by journalists in a daily news conference.
