Narendra Modi on Google+ Hangout

On Friday, tech-savvy chief minister of Gujarat, Narendra Modi had interacted with netizens across the nation on the Google's platform "Google+ Hangout" via live video-chat. Never before has any Indian minister tried such an interaction before with the public.

Modi is well known to be active on Twitter. He would be participating in the assembly elections at the end of the year. He had answered several questions in the programme. The event was hosted by Bollywood actor, Ajay Devgan and was also broadcast YouTube.

US President Barrack Obama and Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard have been other prominent personalities in the world who have used the facilities. Only recently, Obama had also gone live on the popular Reddit (the front page of the Internet), in a AMA, ask me anything, session while he answered the questions of the netizens for a while.

'Google+ Hangout' facilitates 'group video chat' with upto 10 persons at a time.
