The Lok Sabha has adjourned till Monday following the uproar on coal allocations. With opposition party pitching their voice demanding the resignation of Manmohan Singh as the prime minister, ruckus took place in the house, which made the speaker first adjourn the house till afternoon and later till Monday. It may be noted that the moment house begun today, BJP leaders marched towards the speaker's well and raised slogans against the prime minister. Shiv Sena members too joined BJP leaders, who expressed their displeasure over the government's alleged undue favours to private firms to get Rs. 1.86 crore in coal block allocation, which was apparently mentioned in the CAG report.
The situation was same in Rajya Sabha too wherein BJP leaders shouted PM to step down. The upper house was initially adjourned till 12 noon and later till 2.30 pm. If buzz is to be believed, the government has called in for an all party meet on Monday to pacify the leaders. The sources said in case the parties fail to reach an agreement, the Parliament might adjourn sine die.
