This would easily be what you call a field day for the mobile thieves at Ramlila Maidan. With a choice of 15,000 preys who were attracted by the crowd magnet Ramdev Baba, as many as 50 phones were reported to be lost at the ground.

Four or five people who were allegedly involved in the thefts were identified by volunteers but they were saved from the wrath of the people on the mercy of Ramdev.

The yoga guru had requested the thieves to be left free after minor punishments as the important bigger thieves were lurking around to be still identified in his subtle reference to the rich who were stacking up black money in banks abroad. “Give lighter punishments to these small thieves. Catch bigger thieves," he said.

There were at least 50 mobiles reported to be stolen in the protest begun by Ramdev Baba at the Ramlila Maidan today morning on Thursday where he announced a 3 day fast to fight against corruption and independent working of CBI, transparency in the appointment of electoral comission electors, director of CBI, CVC, CAG etc among many.
