Two arrested for assaulting security guards

The incident of three security guards being beaten up badly at the Lavasa Corporation Limited in Mulushi occurred on Wednesday night when Suresh Vaghu Nakti and Namdeo Nivrutti Pasalkar 26 and 43, had been angered when the guards stopped them to check the car. The guards who were cheking the car to ensure the security in the Dasve village around 11 pm had a bad time. Both Pasalkar and Nakti were arrested by the police on the following day.

Ganesh more, the police inspector of Paud police station, said that one of the guards was even threatened with a .32 revolver after he started a routine check up of the car.

Pasalkar left the place peacefully but it was mere silence before the storm as he returned with 7 sword wielding men. They attacked 2 guards at the place and ransacked the security cabin completely. A computer and furniture were devastated at the Lavasa Town hall. The third guard was also injured in the attack when he tried to stop them.

Pasalkar's revolver was confiscated but the swords and the seven men where nowhere to be seen yet.

Pasalkar and Nakti were produced before the magisterial court but upon the request of the Assistant Public Porsecutor, the Judge granted the remand of police custody till 21st July for further interrogation which could reveal important information regarding the absconding suspects.
