Noted economist and former Governor of Andhra Pradesh, Rangarajan has said that the government has the capability to take strong decisions in the wake of the present economic disturbances in the country. He, however, admitted that the government is facing n number of challenges whenever it is planning to take such decisions.

Addressing the gathering at a conference “Devil’s Advocate,” in Delhi, Rangarajan has said that the government should take up developmental programmes on a fast pace. He has also said that inflation would come under control if subsidies are reduced. He has indicated to reduce subsidies specially on diesel and LPG.
