The Wholesale price Index [WPI] based Inflation dropped to four-month low in June to 5.43 percent. Government data showed food prices increased by 8.14 per cent in June this year as compared to a jump of 10.27 per cent in the same month last year. It is a sign of relief to the new Narendra Modi government. The government will also continue with sale of food stocks in the open market and correct supply chain inefficiencies, to bring down price pressure.
