Defence scientists today postponed the test launching of the nuclear capable Agni-2 missile due to a technical problem.
The test launch of the indigenously developed surface-to-surface missile with a strike range of 2000 km was to take place from the Interim Test Range at the Wheeler Island in the Bay of Bengal off the Chandipur coast in Orissa.
“The next date of the trial run would be announced in a day or two after correcting the technical snag,” said the officials of the Strategic Forces Command which is overseeing the launching preparations.
The missile can carry nuclear warheads and destruction of the objects situated at distance of 2000 KM.
