Kishanganj district police of Bihar had lodged an FIR against two suspected Harkat-ul-Jihad-al-Islami (HUJI) members for reportedly violating the Foreigners Act. A probe is also on to find out whether these two had any links with the July 13 triple blasts at Mumbai.
Police had arrested one of them, 30-year-old Md Reyazul Sarkar on Sunday while the other one Md Mahtab Alam was already in the custody of the Pauakhali Police station in the district under the Foreigners Act.
Police had seized several SIM cards, details of bank accounts and several contact phone numbers from their dairies. The police will produce them before a competent court and seek their custody for interrogation.
