With latest reports from Japan establishing that the radioactive winds, triggered by the two hydrogen blasts in the earthquake-tsunami crippled Fukushima nuclear power plant, heading towards the country’s capital city Tokyo, Indian software giants TCS and Infosys have decided to fly their IT professionals working in their offices in Japan back to India along with their families.
A TCS spokesman told media persons in Bangalore today that the company is taking steps for bringing back its employees back to India as a precautionary measure. “In fact, we are taking steps even to move our Japanese employees to safety from our offices in the affected areas,” the spokesman said. “The safety of our employees is our top priority at the moment,” he said emotionally.
Infosys, which has got 350 Indians among its 500 employees in Japan, also echoed similar sentiments. Offices of Infosys are located in Tokyo, Fukuoka and Nagoya.
Reports from Mumbai, Chennai and Bangalore said all other companies which sent Indians to Japan to work in their Japanese offices, are making arrangements to bring back them to India at the earliest.
