
An earthquake of mild intensity measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale rocked several areas of Kashmir Valley this morning.
Fortunately, no loss of life or property was reported from the Valley due to the earthquake that rocked the state at exactly 6.25 am. However, people came on to the streets running from their homes in a shock of fear.
State government officials said in Srinagar that the epicenter of the tremor was traced to Pakistan. Kashmir Valley was in recent times rocked by quakes at least three times but there no reports of loss of property or life.
