Adopting yoga has many benefits such as fitness, outlook, suppleness, but one of the most beneficial reasons for doing yoga is its breathing techniques. We are just talking about breathing here not exercise so there are no excuses for not trying out the above if you can not find the time for conventional yoga but I would recommend anyone to at least give it a try.
Metabolism
By breathing well as nature has intended for us, this supports functioning for the digestive, respiratory, hormonal and circulatory systems. By practicing yoga breathing techniques it is helpful in promoting your metabolic rate to give it a good balance in everyday living whilst keeping your body weight in check.
Detox
Your lungs are crucial in your daily detoxification. When you exhale air from your body you release carbon dioxide that has been passed through from your bloodstream into your lungs. Carbon dioxide is a natural waste of your body's metabolism. By exhaling air from deep within your lungs you rid your body of more carbon dioxide thus enabling your lungs to inhale more oxygen.
Organ Massage
When you inhale air your diaphragm descends and your abdomen will expand. By this action you massage your intestines, heart and other vital organs located by your diaphragm. Controlled breathing enables you to promote much improved circulation in these vital organs whilst a good side effect also strengthens and tones your abdominal muscles.
Oxygenation to your body
A great benefit of controlled yoga breathing is the oxygenation process to all of the cells in your body. With the supply of oxygen to the brain this increases the muscles in your body. Oxygen travels through your bloodstream by attaching to haemoglobin in your red blood cells. This in turn then enriches your body to metabolise nutrients and vitamins.
