A study reportedly suggested that things that you find funny now may not be the same later which means, sense of humour changes with age. However, the study did not report that the change leads to the best or worst. This research showed that the young and middle-aged adults considered aggressive humour to be funny, older adults won't find it entertaining.
The older aged people prefer “affiliative humour” in which a number of characters share and navigate an awkward situation while young and middle-aged partly feel this too humorous. The research was conducted how young, middle-aged and older adults reacted to “aggressive humour” and its implications.
This finding has appeared in the journal Psychology and Aging. Finally concluded that sense of humour changes with age.
