Indulgence now has a new name - gold lingerie. Yes, my lady friends, you heard that right!
Designer house Rococo Dessous has launched a line of luxury intimate apparel stitched with 24-karat gold thread and Swiss gold fabric.
The hand-stitched, made-to-order gilded lingerie is available in New York and will cost you anything from $1,500 to $6,000 a piece.
Apparently, Rococo Dessous is not the first to make golden undergarments - King Tut was the first man to wear gold-embroidered linens.
"We use atoms of pure gold - by definition, 24 karat," managing director Sascha Hertil told ABC News."
The gaudy lingerie, inspired and named after Tsarina Alexandra, Cleopatra and Marie Antoinette, made its debut in Monaco way back in May.
You can further embellish the gilded bras, underwear and camis with pearls, Swarovski crystals or other gems for an additional cost.
