Clothes for College!

CollegeDressThis is a never ending saga I suppose, the main reason being, what is best to you might not be the same to others. And what to or what not to wear for a college majorly caters to what kind of clothes you have been wearing, since your child hood.

When it comes to College, that too when you have come out of the school and started going to College, there would be a stage where your College wear becomes not less than any life time problem to you. You see your friends wearing all those trendy and fashionable clothes, even you feel you can carry them on you very well. But, because of those ‘rules’ set in your family or somewhere that thought of feeling uncomfortable in being modern, dominating you, you end up doing nothing but letting the days go as they are.

Yes, you need to respect your elders and go by there decision, at the same time; you need to listen to your heart too. Let’s make a blend of these two and finalize on our College Wear;

It is always a mantra, to look new all the time, be indo – western. You can wear that pencil/straight cut jeans of your favorite and team up with a ethnic look kurti. You look traditional at the same time like ‘in’. You can always ad more style to this wear of yours, with a nice stole.

If you are fond of Shalwars, you can make them more stylish by wearing semi patialaas and the top being a little up from the knees, this way you would look trendy and traditional at a time, just like Kareena’s costumes in ‘Jab We Met’ and ‘Body Guard’.

If you vote for only Chudidaars, then let the top length be atleast 2 inches ling from your keens and your Chididaar should be properly fit. In this case you can experiment with neck designs and dupattaas as well. You can also mix and match your ethnic wear of dupattaa and bottom being the same and top being any plain color and so on…

It is always better to not to chop of your hair. The minimal length of hair is mandatory as it would go very well, along with your ethnic wear and give that ‘look’ to you. But you can always give that proper shape and volume to your long hair, with a proper haircut. For this, you need to invest atleast some amount for a proper hair stylist.

Big Jumkaas, or any ‘takky’ ear rings are a big no – no, for a college wear. Just small studs to your ears are good. You can instead experiment with wearing various varieties of matching bangles.

If you are wearing specs, make sure your entire look should jell along with the same and no too much of jwellery and big bindies please.

Don’t you think rather than those high heels that make you more uncomfortable till the afternoon or evening at college, opting for trendy flats would enhance the beauty of you?

So, it is us, how do we design the College wear. I hope you have got the fundaof Indi – Western wear as well!
