Vikram Starer Thandavam received some positive responses and some negative too. However the box office collections were unaffected and were the best on record for the star films. The only feedback was that it was a little lengthy and hence the movie was a bit slow at places. To leave no stones unturned for success, Director A L Vijay embarked on cutting the excess baggage, to make it more crisper and excellent. With the necessary cuttings the film is sure to move at a rapid pace and in the process impress most.

Well this is predominantly very good for the Telugu version of the film, Sivathandavam scheduled next week. Initially both the films were to release on the same day. But later the Telugu distributors backed out as Rebel was scheduled for last Friday. This has paid off well, with the best version being released for the Telugu fans. Sometimes not being first, also pays off.

Thandavam takes you through the various vagaries faced by a sincere officer. And the rest is how he overcomes all the hurdles with his stellar intelligence. Jagapathi Babu gives a fresh look for this film and he fits the bill as an urban police officer. Soundtracks by G V Prakash are already topping the charts. The RAW officer and the blind echolocation expert looked entirely diverse, this could only be possible by Vikram. Anushka Shetty  and Amy Jackson steal the show with their versatile glamor.
