Pakistan country set is reportedly recreated in Mumbai, to shoot Sarbjit, the makers said.
Sarbjit is one such movie, which has acquired so much of hype even before the release. Especially, after the release of the trailer, the film industry started hailing the makers, touting it to be a blockbuster.
Those expectations are now worrying the makers and, so are not taking any chance and making the movie with utmost production values.
Director Omung Kumar, created the bylanes of Pakistan and managed to shoot parts of it in Mumbai's bustling Bohri Mohallah, besides Punjab.
Even the lead character’s house was recreated in Aarey Colony in Mumbai. Though in the beginning, a few suggested that, the film can be shot in Tarn Taran (Sarbjit Singh's hometown), Omung said that, the modernised looks of the city would be tough to convince it as Punjab of 90s.
According to the script, Sarbjit's home was to be shown over a period of two decades, and so the set was planned to create the old environment around. Just like this, Omung is very particular of even the minute things and making sure that the biography looks realistic.
The actors of the film, too, did their bit to play their parts as authentically as possible. Be it Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who perfected her Punjabi to Randeep, who lost a bulk of weight for the role, every actor has put in his best for the film.
Randeep Hooda, Richa Chadha are other leads of Sarbjit and the tag called ‘comeback film of Aishwarya Rai’ is another big responsibility, the makers have to keep in mind and film it.
