Mani Ratnam under police protection

Mani Ratnam's Kadal seems to have left him at sea shores as the creative film maker had to rush to police only to save his home from attackers, who happens to be people from Mannan Films. This production house reportedly purchased rights of Kadal movie for Rs. 16 crore. They were reportedly astonished after they had note that they received just three crore rupees turn over from the theatres, which apparently disturbed them.

After a reportedly a team from Mannam Films allegedly attacked the residence of Mani Ratnam, the director approached the police and sought police protection. He also told that he had no connection with Mannan Films as he had given rights of this picture to Gemini Film Circuits, which in turn sold the rights to Mannan. Anyway, Kadal gave one bad experience to a good director.
