Music and emotions-as I say-are inseparable. And when the script loaded with tonnes of emotions is placed before an iconic musician such as AR Rahman, the output would simply make your eyes wet. Right from Roja to today's Kadal/Kadali, the songs that came in the combination of AR Rahman and Mani Ratnam not just touched the emotional chords, but were personified as love.  When asked as to how such brilliant music he gave, he said Mani Ratnam was his guru.

Speaking about Kadali, Rahman said that it was a bold movie and it would be not be possible to make such a movie to anyone except Mani Ratnam. The story of Kadali basically revolves between the lives of fishermen and a small romantic tale smartly woven by Mani Ratnam with the help of amazing music. Kadali is certainly another milestone not just to Rahman but even Mr Ratnam.
