Many movie releases are getting postponed either due to budget issues or something else. People seemed to be bugged up with the release dates and reports indicated that they were so confused as to purchase a movie ticket online or not for a particular day since they don't know whether that movie would release on the said date or not. Who started this new trend to shift the movie release dates, we exactly don't know but that new tradition seems to be fast catching up among film units.

After the postponement of Damarukam movie more than twice, Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu and Shadow postponed the release dates. SVMC was scheduled to be released on December 21 but the film unit decided to release the movie in January on the eve of Sankranti and Shadow which was reportedly scheduled for a release during Sankranti will be released at a later date.

The film critics said that film makers and producers should stop playing with people by issuing tickets and then postponing the movies.
