The seventh edition of Indian Premier League is likely to be held in South Africa this year as the government is not favor of providing security for the matches with General elections coming up. In the year 2009 also IPL was shifted to South Africa with same reasons cited and yet again BCCI is preferring the African nation as they have good relations.

BCCI is also scouting for new options and UAE venue is also in consideration. The Governing Counsel of IPL will meet after the IPL auction and are likely to take decision on the venue within a day or two.
