IPL 2023 Play Off: CSK beats defending Champions:- History was made in Chepauk, Chennai. On Tuesday, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Gujarat Titans (GT) had their first playoff match at Chepauk. CSK beat defending champions GT by 15 runs. With this CSK entered through their tenth IPL final. Chennai fans had a complete entertainer and had an unceasing party with CSK’s performance. Gujarat entered into the chase of 173 and closed it for 157 in their 20 overs.
When Dhoni's wicket was gone, the stadium was with pin-drop silence and at the same time when D Chahar caught Shubman Gill, Chepauk was loud and huge celebrations were around. When the scoreboard was at 16-ball for 30 runs for GT, fans were nervous and the pressure was on Subhranshu Senapati after a misfield at 17.2 overs. But Mr cool Dhoni asked Senapati to take a deep breath and go on. 17.4 overs, Senapati had a superb direct hit and got the wicket of Darshan Nalkande. Dhoni was praised all over for his leadership quality.
MS Dhoni also responded about his next IPL play. He said he got nearly 10 months of time to think about it and why to worry now and he also cleared that he will have his support for CSK even if he stops playing the matches for the next IPL season, that is IPL 2024.
