BCCI issues a Statement about Team India taking Coronavirus Tests:- Team India is currently touring in Australia and the third test between the teams will start from January 7th. The Indian cricket team along with the supporting staff underwent coronavirus tests and they are tested negative for coronavirus in Melbourne. The third test will take place in Sydney. The Board of Control of Cricket in India issued an official statement about the same today. "Playing members of the Indian Cricket Team and support staff underwent an RT-PCR Test for COVID-19 on January 3, 2021. All tests have returned negative results," told the statement.

Five Indian players: Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Rishabh Pant, Navdeep Saini and Prithvi Shaw were spotted in a restaurant in Australia and the video went viral across the internet. All these five players were sent for isolation and they underwent coronavirus tests today. Cricket Australia had announced that a joint investigation with the BCCI was on about the incident as the players breached the bio-security protocol. But all these five players are allowed to train and travel along with the other team members. India and Australia leveled the series with 1-1 in the first two tests.
