After a bid of controversies and alleged failures, the ruling party seems to take credit for the scintillating Kolkata Knight Riders victory. A red carpet welcome awaited the IPL winning team back at home on Monday. Many ministers also from the Trinamool Congress party welcomed the heroes on Monday. The team plans a victory and thanks giving precession in Kolkata on Tuesday. The precession will be headed by Shahrukh Khan and will culminate at the Writers Building when the Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee will be given the cup by the Franchise owner Sharukh.

Later there will be a felicitation ceremony at the historic Eden Gardens. The Chie Guest for the ceremony would be none other than the CM. Infact already fans, across the state, have arrived to attend the ceremony.

On Monday as the team landed at the Kolkata airport, they received tumultuous welcome. The Team led by Skipper Gautam Gambhir was felicitated by the ruling party, outside the airport amidst huge gathering of fans. Individual credit was given to each member amidst fans cheers. Thousands of fans danced to drum beats and cheered the team.
