ISRO all Set to Launch CARTOSAT-3 and 13 US Satellites

ISRO all Set to Launch CARTOSAT-3 and 13 US Satellites:- Satish Dhawan Space Research Center (SHAR) is all set to launch fourteen satellites including CARTOSAT-3 at 9.28 AM tomorrow. The Indian Space Research Organization has started the countdown for its highly anticipated launch of PSLV-C47/ CARTOSAT-3. This launch was rescheduled from November 25th to 27th. The launch of the satellites will take place through Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle, PSLV-C47 into the Sun Synchronous Orbit.

CARTOSAT-3 happens to be the third-generation advanced satellite. CARTOSAT-3 will be placed at an inclination of 97.5 degrees in an orbit of 509 km. With a mass of 1625 kgs, CARTOSAT-3 has a life of five years. It is staged to help improve infrastructural development and rural resources. CARTOSAT-3 also helps the Land Information System (LIS) and Geographical Information System (GIS) applications. PSLV-C47 is the 21st flight in the PSLV category of XL configuration. 13 other nanosatellites from the United States of America will be carried out as well. ISRO has mentioned this would be the 74th launch vehicle mission from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, SHAR, Sriharikota.
