Satya Nadella is planning to host his first press event as Microsoft CEO next week and in this meet he could unveil an iPad version of Microsoft Office. The software giant has called the members of the media and industry executives to a special cloud- and mobile-focused event in San Francisco on March 27th.
Microsoft loses about $2.5 billion revenue a year by keeping Office off the iPad, which has now sold almost 200 million units and to cash in the opportunity Microsoft is heard to be working on the software for a number of months now.
Satya will also discuss his strategy 'Mobile first, Cloud first” in this press conference. However reports say that the interface and features are expected to be similar to the existing iPhone version of Office.
