Microsoft Invests 1 Billion USD on OpenAI:- Tech giant Microsoft announced that they are investing 1 billion USD in Artificial Intelligence (AI) based start-up called OpenAI. They would jointly develop new supercomputing technologies on Microsoft's Azure cloud computing platform. This helps the Azure platform to help developers build the next generation of AI applications said Microsoft in a statement.

"By bringing together OpenAI's breakthrough technology with new Azure AI supercomputing technologies, our ambition is to democratize AI - while always keeping AI safety front and center - so everyone can benefit," said Satya Nadella, Microsoft CEO. OpenAI will port the services to run on Microsoft Azure which can create new AI technologies and deliver artificial general intelligence.

Microsoft also became OpenAI's preferred partner for new AI technologies. "The creation of AI will be the most important technological development in human history, with the potential to shape the trajectory of humanity," said Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI.
