Are you worried about Google Tax?

For now, your life is easy. Google helps you search indefinitely any information that you need and you can also link up the information, photos, articles etc that you find on your blog, website or any other digital media. What if you had to pay for every link that you share on another website or social networking site? This concept of paying to used a copyrighted material is being called the Google Tax which restricts you from posting any links that have been registered to a person or an organization.

Google has been against it every since the issue was brought out in the Germany's Parliament. Recently Google has started a campaign, 'Defend Your Web”, that has been trying to marshal the users of the search engine giant against any plans of Google Tax. This tax has several supporters, especially the publishers who would gain a lot financially when an individual posts or links up their article or photo.

Google has been circulating a short video online that points out the drawbacks of this new copyright restriction and how it would affect the everyday user. In its words, "for more than 10 years you've been able to find what you are looking for - a planned law would change that."

Google has been urging users to sign an online petition to support the motion against such plans via different media, digital and traditional.
