BCCI Cancels Asia Cup

BCCI Cancels Asia Cup:- Sourav Ganguly, the President of BCCI today announced that the Asia Cup that was scheduled to take place in September has been called off. Sourav Ganguly told this in his Instagram live session. With the huge rise in the number of coronavirus cases, BCCI decided to call off Asia Cup said Sourav Ganguly. The T20 World Cup which was scheduled to take place in Australia this year was pushed to an unknown date already. Sourav Ganguly said that they have done their preparations but it is not known when the situations will turn normal and when the sports will start.

India and Pakistan are expected to fight for Asia Cup in the United Arab Emirates and this year Asia Cut is scheduled in September. Pakistan is ready to host the tournament but India is not willing to travel. There are strong speculations that all the current tournaments are getting canceled to make space for IPL 2020. The tournament is not canceled and it is pushed to a later date this year. All the franchise owners are ready for IPL 2020 and the venue is expected to be finalized soon. Sri Lanka, UAE and New Zealand are already ready to host IPL 2020 but BCCI will take a call on this season very soon and the dates would be announced.
