First ODI: A Comfortable Victory for West Indies:- After losing the T20 series against India, West Indies is in plans to bounce back in the ODI series. The first one-day international took place yesterday and West Indies registered a comfortable victory in their chase. West Indies won the toss and decided to bowl. India managed to get a decent total of 287/8 in their 50 overs. Rishabh Pant (71), Shreyas Iyer (70) and Kedar Jadhav (40) are the top scorers for the side. Keemo Paul (2/40), Alzarri Joseph (2/45) and Sheldon Cottrell (2/46) managed to pick the Indian wickets. West Indies had to chase 288 in their 50 overs.

The team never felt the pressure and they completed the chase in 47.5 overs by losing just two wickets. Shimron Hetmyer (139), Shai Hope (102 not out) are the top scorers of the side. Deepak Chahar (1/48), Mohammed Shami (1/57) managed to get the wickets. Shimron Hetmyer has been named as the Player of the Match. The second ODI between India and West Indies will take place on Wednesday.
