Walking to Work Makes you Healthier than a Casual Walk:- Walking with a purpose would be a huge advantage for everyone instead of a casual walk. Walking to work makes people walk faster and they are considered healthier than ever says a study. The study was published in the Journal of Transport and Health. It said that walking for different reasons fetched different results. All those who walked to their workplaces and grocery stores reported better health than the people who worked for leisure. Gulsah Akar, an associate professor of city and regional planning in The Ohio State University Knowlton School of Architecture said that walking improves the health and the types are different for the results. The data has been collected from 2107 National Household Travel Survey which was collected between April 2016 and May 2017. As many as 1,25,885 adults between the ages of 18 and 64 participated in the study. The data of their walking time, purpose and their walking trips are collected. The survey also ranked them on a scale of 1 to 5 basing on their walking trips and their health. The dataset had 5,00,000 trips. The study said that walking for any purpose and duration increased the health factor of the person. All those who walked for reasons not connected work were 3% more with the health score. Walking trips that started at home are generally longer than the other trips. More than going to the gym or a recreation center, it is better to walk with a purpose and it makes a person healthier.

Air Bubble Agreement: Indians Can Now Fly To USA, UK, Canada And UAE:- With the coronavirus outbreak, all the international borders are sealed to prevent the spread of the virus. The international flights are called off from the month of March. The Indian Aviation Ministry resumed the domestic services in May but the international flight services got delayed. The Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) today announced all the Indians that are holding valid documents and visas can travel to USA, UK, Canada and UAE under the air bubble agreement. As per the guidelines issued by the European Union, all the people holding essential visas can now travel abroad. India has not been allowing all the types of visa holders because of the widespread of coronavirus pandemic. Only those with essential visa that is approved by the Ministry of Home Affairs are allowed to enter into the country. India and Maldives agreed to create an air bubble to travel between the countries. The Maldives happens to be the first neighboring country to India which closed the deal. India has an inked air bubble deal with the USA, France from the past few weeks. The international air travel is badly disrupted and the carriers are suffering huge losses as the services are kept on hold from the past few months. India is in plans to focus on creating air bubbles with all the countries and resume services before the normal air services will resume after the pandemic comes to an end.

The floor test was introduced after a bunch of rebel leaders walked out from the party. The Congress government moved the motion of confidence and Ashok Gehlot passed the test. The Assembly House was adjourned till August 21st. In the house, Congress has 107 legislatures and BJP has 72 MLAs. Former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot said that the vote of confidence was passed with a good majority in the Assembly house. The opposition BJP tried in all the available ways but the Congress government could prove their strength. The motion was tabled by the Cabinet Minister Shanti Dhariwal and the Speaker gave three hours for the debate on the vote of motion. Sachin Pilot returned back to the Congress after his meeting with Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi. This brought their needed strength of 107 MLAs. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that the opposition kept questioning about the performance of the government from the past one and half year but the Prime Minister lauded the efforts of the government in tackling the coronavirus pandemic. The BJP toppled the government in Madhya Pradesh but it could not be possible in Rajasthan said Ashok Gehlot.

High Court Has One More Shock For Andhra Pradesh Government:- The Andhra Pradesh government has been in plans to shift the capital of the state from Amaravati to Vizag on August 15th marking the Independence day. But in a jolt, a number of petitions are filed in the Andhra Pradesh High Court. The Amaravati farmers who donated hundreds of acres for the capital have been protesting against the capital shifting. The petitions came for hearing in the Andhra Pradesh High Court today and the court asked the government to continue operating from Amaravati till August 27th after which the final call would be taken. Around 55 petitions are filed in the AP High Court about the three capital bill and the CRDA cancellation bill. The committee that comprises of Justice Rakesh Kumar, Justice AV Sesha sai and Justice M Satyanarayana Murthy announced the news. The arguments against the government said that the three capitals are not needed for the state. The court asked to follow all the rules and regulations about governance from Amaravati till August 27th and the High Court will announce their verdict on the same date. The lawyer who was arguing on behalf of the government wanted the court to lift the ban on the issued order but the High Court rejected the proposal. Andhra Pradesh government received one more shock with the announcement. The status quo order will be applicable till August 27th and the High Court will announce the verdict soon.

Telangana Government Takes 50% of Beds in Private Hospitals:- There are a lot of complaints about the exorbitant medical bills in private hospitals in Telangana during the coronavirus pandemic season. The government of Telangana announced that they would take the control of 50% beds in the private hospitals in the state. The Telangana Health Department will control these beds and will take the call on the admissions. The Telangana Health Department will finalize the prices and charges for the beds and the patients too will be chosen by the government. Telangana Health Minister Etala Rajendar met the representatives of Telangana Super-Speciality Hospitals Association yesterday in his office after which the decision was made. Telangana senior health officials attended the meeting. A few days ago, Etala Rajendar already said that the government would not hesitate to take over the 50% of the coronavirus beds in the private hospitals. The final agreement will be made soon between the private hospitals and the government. The private hospitals agreed for 30% of the beds. The Telangana High Court directed the government to consider the Delhi model by taking hold of over 50% of the beds from the private hospitals after which the meetings are initiated. The High Court asked to reserve at least 20% of the beds for the poor patients and offer treatment for free. The Telangana High Court directed Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar to submit a report on this. Somesh Kumar appeared before the High Court through a video conference.
