Bengaluru Malls To Follow A New Set Of Guidelines From June 8th:- The Centre already granted permission for the opening of shopping malls from June 8th across the country. Karnataka government gave green signals for malls except in containment zones. The operators of shopping malls will face many challenges as the impact of coronavirus is huge in the country. They will have several Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure all the guidelines are followed. The major challenge is the physical distancing. The shopping experience for the people too would be quite different. Some of the shopping malls in Bengaluru made the 'Aarogya Setu app' mandatory for entry into the malls and they will allow the customers who have a green status on the app. The Shopping Centre Association of India already submitted the guidelines for the Karnataka Government. The thermal screening will be done for everyone and frequent sanitization will be made for all the people available in the malls. The periodicity of cleaning will be increased. Some of the shopping malls also purchased automated machinery. Some of the malls are also planning disinfection tunnels for all the customers. Wearing of masks is made mandatory.

Nationwide Outrage For Killing Pregnant Elephant In Kerala:- A pregnant elephant got killed in Kerala and this triggered nationwide outrage. Kerala Chief Minister Piniary Vijayan promised to take stringent action on the culprits who are responsible for such a heinous act. The forest department is probing the case and the investigation is currently on. A case was registered in Mannarkkad forest division for killing a 15-year-old elephant. Couple of organizations even announced a cash reward for those who provide the information that can lead to the arrest of the offenders. The elephant chewed a pineapple that was stuffed with explosives. The elephant stood in Velliyar river and died on May 27th at Thiruvizhamkunnu forest section in Kottopadam village. The forest department employed two kumki elephants to rescue the elephant but their efforts got wasted. The elephant is expected to have come in the buffer zone of Silent Valley National Park and it died on private land. The postmortem report is awaited. The pineapple was planned to kill crop-raiding wild animals. Social media is filled with condolence messages for the elephant and several demanded stringent action for the culprits who committed the crime.

AP Sets A New Record In Coronavirus Tests:- The government of Andhra Pradesh created a new record for reaching a milestone in conducting the number of samples. Andhra Pradesh is the fourth state in the country to test four lakh people for coronavirus by Wednesday. A total number of 4,03,747 people are tested for coronavirus and in the last one day, AP conducted 8066 tests. Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra are the states which already conducted 4 lakh tests in their respective states. But the population of Andhra Pradesh is quite low when compared to the above states. Based on this, Andhra Pradesh is the number one state in the country in conducting coronavirus tests. On average, 7419 people are screened and tested per million in Andhra Pradesh. AP is also at the top of the list when it comes to recovery. It is higher than the national average. The recovery rate in Andhra Pradesh is 64% while the national average is said to be 48.51%. The infection rate too is quite low in the state. Community Spread Of Coronavirus Fear In AP And Telangana:- AP and Telangana saw a gradual rise in the number of new coronavirus cases after the states are asked to relax down. They are reporting cases from new areas where there are infections from some time. They are sparking fears of community transmission of coronavirus. As many as 180 new cases are registered in Andhra Pradesh yesterday out of which 94 are migrants and 7 are foreign returnees. AP has 3898 cases in total as per the official records. In Telangana, the total number of cases is said to be 2891. New cases are reported for the first time in new regions of Guntur, Kurnool, Chittoor, East Godavari, Kadapa and Prakasam districts. This clearly indicates that it is due to the community spread. A family of ten members is infected in Kadapa's Nawabpet but the source of infection could not be traced by the officials. Things are similar in Telangana too. New cases are reported in Sanga Reddy, Siddipet, Nalgonda, Mancherial, Medchal, Mahbubnagar and Ranga Reddy districts after a huge gap. The tests are between 8000 and 10000 per day in Andhra Pradesh. Most of the migrants and returnees are not following the quarantine rules. This is leading to further infections and the spread of coronavirus.

He is facing charges of bank fraud worth Rs 9000 crores for 17 banks. He is said to have routed the money and fled from the country.

Supreme Court Has One More Shock To AP Government:- The High Court of Andhra Pradesh already asked the government to remove the colors for government offices and village panchayats in the state as they resemble YSRCP. The Andhra Pradesh government challenged the move of High Court in the Supreme Court and the top court supported the decision of the High Court asking the Andhra Pradesh government to remove the colors in four weeks. Supreme Court said it would be felt as disrespecting the court's decision. Along with the three colors for panchayat offices, the AP government proposed one more color and issued a GO 623. The High Court of Andhra Pradesh suspended this decision on May 22nd after which the government of Andhra Pradesh approached the Supreme Court. Several cases have been registered against the government's decision as the government colored the panchayat offices with the flag of YSRCP. AP High Court took the decision of adding one more color as a suo moto. The High Court even suspended the issued GO.
