Vital signs of heart attack

Heart attacks is one of the leading cause of death among both young and old people. It has been defined as a silent killer, yet few are aware of the signs of a heart attack. Knowing and identifying the signs of a heart attack can save your life or that of someone else.

Person under heart attack starts feeling shortness of breath, heaviness in the chest, unbearable pain in upper stomach, pain in the left arm, and pain in neck and jaw.

When you sense any of these signs rush to the nearest hospital and get medical assistance immediately. Very often people brush aside these symptoms that could be fatal.

Other crucial signs are nauseous feeling, light-headedness and breaking into a cold sweat. Under heart attack a person may also feel intense pressure on the chest as if the chest is closing in on the person.

Women generally experience nausea, breathlessness, jaw pain and back pain. While men should be alerted of a heart attack when they experience chest pain.
