The Delhi University has finally scrapped the controversial Four Year Undergraduate Program [FYUP] after massive protests from students and teachers. Now the UGC is working on a plan to shift 60,000 students admitted last year under the four-year programme to the three-year format. The FYUP was introduced last year despite getting strong objections and in the start of this year admissions, students and teachers united against this. Nearly three lakh students beginning college this year have waited for an end into this row. The Delhi University also announced that it will soon start admiiting students under the three year degree format.
