KCR takes oath as MLA:- K Chandrashekar Rao, the former chief minister of Telangana, was unable to take his oath as an MLA in December due to a hairline fracture in his hip. This injury occurred when he slipped and fell at his farmhouse in Siddipet district's Erravalli village on December 7. However, on Thursday, KCR finally took his oath, almost two months after the new Congress government was sworn in.
BRS Chief Sri K. Chandrashekar Rao took the oath as the Gajwel MLA in the presence of the Assembly Speaker. Several BRS MLAs, MLCs, and public representatives attended the event.

Following his surgery and recovery, the leader of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) also assumed the position of the leader of the Opposition in the Assembly. After losing the November 30 Assembly elections, KCR had moved to his farmhouse. Despite winning from Gajwel, he was unable to secure a third term as he lost from Kamareddy, and the Congress emerged victorious with 64 out of 119 seats compared to the BRS's 39 seats.
